CHALLENGES

Executing major road crossings

Two significant road crossings on North Woolwich Road required detailed planning and coordination to avoid disrupting the road network.

Ensuring pedestrian safety

In the residential setting, pedestrian safety was paramount. We worked closely with the council and traffic management partners to maintain safe passage around work sites.

Navigating uncharted utilities

The presence of uncharted utilities demanded adaptive design and careful execution to prevent any service strikes, requiring close collaboration with the client.

Coordination with Transport for London (TFL)

A portion of the network ran beneath the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), necessitating strict control measures and coordination with TFL to ensure the operation posed no risk to the railway.

SUCCESS STORY

Innovative low-carbon network

The Silvertown Ectogrid™ will be the UK’s first system of its kind, drastically reducing emissions and supporting the area’s transformation into a vibrant, sustainable community.

Enhanced community infrastructure

The project supports the regeneration of Silvertown, contributing to new housing, next-generation workspaces, and community facilities while creating over 6,000 jobs.

Seamless integration and high standards

Despite the challenges, our meticulous planning and execution have ensured that the network integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
