After a year of hard work on projects nationwide, the team at ThermaMech are thrilled to report a record year of growth for the 2025/26 financial year – the best yet in our 13 years in business. The result coincides with accelerating demand for Heat Networks in the wider industry, as investment into the green infrastructure continues to grow.

The growth has been driven by our role as a trusted delivery partner to leading UK energy and infrastructure businesses, designing and delivering low-carbon heat networks, nationwide. Recent and ongoing efforts include work on the Bradford Energy Centre for 1Energy, multiple zones on the Bristol Heat Network for Vattenfall, Queens Medical Centre Energy Centre for E.ON, and Royal University Hospital Bath for Veolia.

“This has been a defining year for our business, testament to the hard work of the team, but also the trust placed in us by our partners and clients.” said Rob Smart, our Managing Director. “But growth like this doesn’t come from chasing work, it comes from our continued focus on delivering things the right, not the easy way, on every scheme. We put a lot of effort into that delivery and we’re appreciative for the results we’re now seeing as a result.”

The financial milestone swiftly follows industry recognition, with our being named Heat Network Installer/Contractor of the Year at the UK District Energy Association (UKDEA) Awards 2026 – our second consecutive year winning the title.

To support our continued expansion, we’ve also made several new appointments over the past year, including new Operations Director, James Reid, strengthening the senior team with more district heating expertise as the business scales its delivery capacity to meet demand.

But achieving success hasn’t come without challenge, as described by our MD: “We’re growing carefully and deliberately,” added Rob Smart, “But that has also meant we’ve had to refocus on ensuring our processes match the quality we’re delivering on the
ground. We recognise our new position within larger, more complex projects, and are working to ensure we have the right things in place to efficiently deliver, without compromising on the standards our clients expect of us.”

Well done to our team and thank you to our partners – we look forward to what the next year has in store.
