ThermaMech is proud to continue supporting 1Energy on the development of the Bradford Energy Network, one of the UK’s most significant low‑carbon heat projects.
Recently, our team safely planned and executed the cranage and installation of essential support plant at the Bradford Energy Centre. This equipment includes high‑efficiency gas boiler units that act as part of the resilience and peak‑support system, ensuring reliability and continuity as the wider network transitions to long‑term low‑carbon operation.
The Bradford Energy Network is built around one of the largest air‑source heat pumps in the UK, providing clean, sustainable heat equivalent to 10,000 homes and delivering an anticipated 75% reduction in emissions from the day buildings are connected.
Our contribution helps ensure the Energy Centre is ready to support Bradford’s shift toward a cleaner, more efficient heating future.
Here’s a look at the carefully planned cranage operation as we lifted this resilience plant into place.
